Jardins del Laberint D'Horta

The Labyrinth Park!  I've wanted to go here ever since I knew that this park exists in the outskirts of Barcelona. I mean, who can resist getting lost in a hedge-maze (even if there are a bunch of screaming schoolchildren occasionally getting in your way)?  This park is so carefully manicured and cared for that it cost 2,17 euro to get in!  I arrived a little after 11 in the morning and wandered around waiting for my friend to join me (she lost her phone and I was waiting for her at the wrong spot-- long story short).  So here are plenty of pictures of the park!

"Cabin of the Hermit" or "Cabana de L'Ermità"
Butterfly!
"Farmer's Refuge" or "Refugi del Pagès"
Mini waterfall
And finally, drumroll please, the labyrinth!  So cool-looking!
More views of the park
And by this time my friend finally made it to the park.  So we retraced my steps (basically- the park isn't that big).  And we ventured into the hedge maze!  (Along with a bunch of loud schoolchildren).  Here's a dead end.
And we finally reached the center of the maze!
And we made it out successfully!  More shots of the park below.  If any ornithology geeks are out there, please tell me what kind of bird this is!  A stork perhaps?
Fishies
Hermit's cabin once more
Mini-waterfall again
"Font Romàntica" ("Romantic Fountain")
Ducks!
And as we were wandering out of the park, a black cat crossed our path... oh no, bad luck!! (April fools?)
And then we got back on the metro and headed to La Sagrada Familia!  (Another post on that to come soon, of course).

  1. When you get home you should look for a corn maze to get lost in. OK, it's not the same as doing it there but it's probably still fun. Love the parks there.
