It's time to say goodbye! At least one person from my program seems to be leaving every day... and my turn is coming up soon this Thursday! Unfortunately I still have some school work to do before then... ugh, I'm not quite done. But CASB was smart enough to organize a goodbye dinner for all of us last Friday-- the last day of classes. We traveled a good amount of time on the metro to get to a restaurant called La Mamasita. We had a 3 course meal (as per the usual program dinner) and it was quite filling for obvious reasons. So much food!
First coarse, I chose goat cheese salad. I've recently noticed that whenever goat cheese salad is on a menu, there's a 100% chance I will order it. There's just something about having a hunk of hot, melt-in-your-mouth cheese on top of a bunch of lettuce that just makes me salivate! (i.e. I must find places with goat cheese salads back in the US).
Then cod with romesco sauce. Not completely de-boned... but good nevertheless.
And for dessert, tiramisu! Probably the most interesting textured tiramisu I've ever had... very velvety.
And of course while they had all of us there, we filled out very long program evaluations. However, we got a free orange program pen! Score!
Then the restaurant brought out champaign (no, I didn't try it) and the program director made a toast.
And here is some general craziness throughout the evening. Of course craziness always occurs when we're all together. (Apparently some people went out to drink with the program director afterwards too! haha)
I'm sure we must have goat cheese salads somewhere here. I love goat cheese too.
ReplyDeleteLooks like just another fun Barcelona dinner ! It will certainly be different in boring (I mean exciting) Glencoe !
